I’ve found that any participant can stop a recording. Is there a way to limit stopping a recording for only the host?
You mean on meet.jit.si?
On the public site meet.jit.si, this is by design. Because the public site serves as a full-featured, fully functional demo, all the features are available to everyone who hosts and joins a meeting there. If you want more granular control over your meetings, you can either host your own Jitsi application or subscribe to the very affordable 8x8 hosted environment.
This is the best deal I’ve ever seen of any video conferencing platform.
Normally moderators can only start and stop recordings.
meet.jit.si gives all participants to moderator permissions.
