Where do I tune memory consumption configuration

Is there a way to configure memory consumption with Jitsi meet? Say I have 24 GB of memory, does Jitsi just knows how to make best use of it or do I have to allocate it by configuring somewhere?

I saw this issue where maximum memory for Jicofo was set:

So the question that came to my mind if whether jitsi meet will even make use of all the memory I have available on my box if there is a max memeory set somewhere. Can i change it?

There are default settings for jicofo and jvb which are max of 3GB of RAM per process. We haven’t seen the need to increase that as you will hit many other problems before hitting that limit.

Ah cool. Thanks. Is my inference correct that there is no point giving the VM more than the recommended 8 GB?
