Welcome Page Additional Content

Dear Damien, dear all,

If I understand correctly, the current version of Jitsi is without Jetty. On my Debian buster install, I used to include a footer on the welcome page showing “powered by jtisi, imprint and GDPR notice”.

Based on this thread:

my /etc/jitsi/videobridge/sip-communicator.properties did include the following reference to the respective html-file:

org.jitsi.videobridge.rest.jetty.ResourceHandler.alias./static/welcomePageAdditionalContent.html=/etc/jitsi/meet/welcomePageAdditionalContent.html

Without Jetty, that entry does not seem to make sense any more and it does no longer work.

Could you please be so kind to point out how to include such content as best as possible? Ideally, it should survive updates.

There is one “brute force” recommendation in the German language web on this: https://www.kuketz-blog.de/jitsi-meet-vorlage-fuer-datenschutzerklaerung/ Nevertheless, there might be a better practice.

Regards,

Michael

This is by no means “official”, but adding the following lines to /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/meet.mydomain.tld.conf does the trick:

server {
    listen 4444 ssl http2;
    listen [::]:4444 ssl http2;
    server_name meet.mydomain.tld;

    [ . . . ]

    location = /plugin.head.html {
        alias /etc/jitsi/share/jitsi-meet/plugin.head.html;
    }
    location = /static/welcomePageAdditionalContent.html {
        alias /etc/jitsi/share/jitsi-meet/static/welcomePageAdditionalContent.html;
    }

    [ . . . ]
}

Your alias-paths will differ, of course.
