Video conferencing example in jitsi-meet

I am exploring WebRTC based solutions for video conferencing. Have found Jitsi to be one of the prominent candidate to look around from various frameworks.

I am trying to run sample code example provided in the GIT

Video gets started and connection gets initiated. I am not able to get

  1. Connection Callback – onConnectionSuccess never gets called. I did put debugger there.

  2. Getting error on console Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'http://beta.meet.jit.si/http-bind' from origin 'http://localhost' has been blocked by CORS policy: Response to preflight request doesn't pass access control check: Redirect is not allowed for a preflight request.

But, I am not able to create conferencing example.

I have posted full question on stack-overflow as well.

This is working for me on localhost. I specified https.

    hosts: {
        domain: 'beta.meet.jit.si',
        muc: 'conference.beta.meet.jit.si' // FIXME: use XEP-0030
    },
    bosh: 'https://beta.meet.jit.si/http-bind', // FIXME: use xep-0156 for that

    // The name of client node advertised in XEP-0115 'c' stanza
    clientNode: 'http://jitsi.org/jitsimeet'
};

Well, Yeah It moved forward from CORS error after adding ‘https:’. Thanks

Now, I am getting, If I add ‘desktop’ in the LocalTracks array. Audio, Video works just fine.
“Failed to install the extension from https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mbocklcggfhnbahlnepmldehdhpjfcjp

So, It looks like that I need to create my extension on the webstore and provide URL. Is it like that ?

Also, How to test it for conference, Should I just connect using room name in another browser on my local.

Yes, you’ll have to create your own desktop extension to run it on domains you want. Probably that extension is not set up to accept requests from localhost. And yeah, another tab sounds like how you would test it. Or go to beta.meet.jit.si/{roomname} and try it.

What are you trying to do in general with jitsi? Are you sure you want to use lib-jitsi-meet? You’re currently thinking of build a custom UI on top of jitsi’s backend stack? You don’t want to just use jitsi-meet (https://meet.jit.si) or jitsi-meet displayed in an iframe or re-use the jitsi-meet ui? https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/doc/api.md

Thank you for your time.

I am trying to achieve tele-health kind of solution.

Thanks
