Using Colibri Stats

Hey All

Apologies for this question, i am very new to Jitsi
Have just done my first install on prem VM (Ubuntu 20.04 Server)

I am wondering how to install/access Colibri Stats

Any help would be much appreciated

Many Thanks!!!

nano /etc/jitsi/videobridge/config

Make sure to configure the jvb options:

JVB_OPTS="--apis=rest,xmpp"

and

nano /etc/jitsi/videobridge/sip-communicator.properties

Here we configure colibri statistics:

org.jitsi.videobridge.ENABLE_STATISTICS=true
org.jitsi.videobridge.STATISTICS_TRANSPORT=muc,colibri

service jitsi-videobridge2 restart

Check output in the terminal on the jitsi server:

curl -v http://127.0.0.1:8080/colibri/stats

Thank You

And i’m assuming there is no Graphical way of seeing these stats (Graphs Etc)

Sure! How-to to setup Grafana dashboards to monitor Jitsi, my comprehensive tutorial for the beginner

:wink:

(Make sure to read through the follow-up posts, there are some neat solutions)

Thank you for this :slight_smile:
I will give it a try and see how I go !!!

Is there an explanation anywhere as to what all of these values mean? Some are obvious but what does octo_conferences mean for example?

Dear all,
I would like to activate the stats on public interface. In fact I got the public interface up, but all the time it gives me

Error 404 Not Found

HTTP ERROR 404

Problem accessing /colibri/conferences. Reason:

Powered by Jetty:// 9.4.15.v20190215
Where can I make a mistake ? It is what in my sip-communicator.properties: org.jitsi.videobridge.rest.jetty.tls.port= org.jitsi.videobridge.rest.jetty.sslContextFactory.keyStorePath=/etc/ssl/jvb.keystore org.jitsi.videobridge.rest.jetty.sslContextFactory.keyStorePassword= org.jitsi.videobridge.rest.COLIBRI_WS_TLS=true org.jitsi.videobridge.rest.COLIBRI_WS_DOMAIN= org.jitsi.videobridge.rest.COLIBRI_WS_SERVER_ID=jvb-nnh-2 org.jitsi.videobridge.rest.COLIBRI_WS_PATH=colibri

Many thanks

None of these settings are necessary with current Jitsi, so remove them and set instead;

org.jitsi.videobridge.ENABLE_STATISTICS=true
org.jitsi.videobridge.STATISTICS_TRANSPORT=muc

Hi,
