[unstable 2.0.6146-1] Error during install of jicofo sip-communicator.properties: No such file or directory

I’m trying to install the latest unstable (2.0.6146-1) on Ubuntu 20.04. On a newly created AWS server, I’m just following the self-hosting guide:

apt update
apt install apt-transport-https
apt install gnupg2
apt install nginx-full
sudo apt-add-repository universe
sudo apt update

curl https://download.jitsi.org/jitsi-key.gpg.key | sudo sh -c 'gpg --dearmor > /usr/share/keyrings/jitsi-keyring.gpg'
echo 'deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/jitsi-keyring.gpg] https://download.jitsi.org unstable/' | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jitsi-unstable.list > /dev/null

# update all package sources
sudo apt update

sudo apt install jitsi-meet

I enter my FQDN, chose let’s encrypt certificate, but then the install fail, during the configuration of jicofo:

Any idea ?

Installation is working with yesterday unstable:
apt install jitsi-meet=2.0.6142-1 jicofo=1.0-775-1 jitsi-videobridge2=2.1-536-g5b4158a5-1

I suspect the following commit of today moving jicofo to the new config broke the install

Maybe you want to take a look @Boris_Grozev

yes this string includes a forbidden character ‘@’
could have been something like

hocon -f $HOCON_CONFIG set "jicofo.bridge.brewery-jid" "\"JvbBrewery@internal.auth.${JVB_HOSTNAME}\""

this stuff was reviewed by @damencho

This is fixed now. fix: Fix debian postinst when sip-communicator.properties is missing. by bgrozev · Pull Request #774 · jitsi/jicofo · GitHub

Thank you for the reports.

Well, it didn’t work when I loaded it from DigitalOcean 3 weeks ago. no sip file.

Jicofo config has been moved to jicofo.conf, no need for SIP anymore.

Still having alllll the same issues. Won’t Auth, no sound or video…

What do you mean by this?

This is likely a firewall/port issue.

You need to describe your issues in detail so we can try to help you.
