Unable to setup jitsi server in MAC OSX

I am trying to setup jitsi server in my MAC OSX through the manual installation process using the source code checked out from github%jitsi repos. I have setup the prosody, jitsi-meet, jitsi-videobridge and jicofo. When accessing the jitsi-meet, it shows the following errors in the browser console.

I followed the very similar steps as in below steps.

I have built the jicofo from jicofo%github source code.

Appreciate any help.

PS: Sorry, I had to use the % symbol to escape the links.

You can’t install Jitsi Meet Server on Mac OSX, you need a linux environment.

Hi Freddie,

Thanks for your answer. Could you please add more details?
My objective is to set up a jitsi development environment in MAC OSX and explore the various jitsi components.

I have checked out the following in my DEV env(eclipse IDE) in MAC OSX.

  1. jicofo
  2. jitsi-videobridge
  3. jitsi-meet

I am able to see my jicofo is connecting to my XMPP server. And I thought the above errors are due to some config being missing or messed up.

Are you referring to only jitsi-meet which cannot work in MAC OSX?

Or can you please pour more light on how to run the entire jitsi server through source code?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

In other words, do this ^, so you will have something working with working configurations which you can reuse component by component and do not follow the manual step installation because it is not always correct as noted in the beginning of it.

Thanks, you damencho for your advice. Let me try it out. I have a working docker/jitsi on my Mac already. I will try to hookup the jicofo/jvb to it. Otherwise, I will have it on a linux VM.
