I like the concepts of Jitsi very much. I’m planning now to install a jitsi server on my VPS.
I am a teacher and I am very much involved in teaching online nowadays, because of the crisis.
Today a student kicked me out of the conversation. What can I do to prevent being kicked out?

Typically, the first person to a meeting is the moderator and has those privileges.
I believe on the public meet.jit.si server, all users are granted moderator powers, so anyone can kick anyone - it’s more of a test/demonstration system.
If you’re hosting your own server, there are also ways to secure things more, if needed.
If you host your instance on your own server you can set yourself as a moderator and only you can kick someone.
