[SOLVED] - Problems with rocket.chat Jitsi - JWT Tokens - videobridge not found

Hello All,

sorry, I am new here… I have a problem

I tried to integrate jitsi in our rocket.chat System. And I tried to integrate it with JWT Token Authentication. After getting jitsi-meet-tokens running (with luajwtjitsi with luaossl) I come to the point where I am stranded.

When I start a conversation, I can join jitsi, and looking to myself, all with video up and running. When the second party joins, jitsi restarts in a loop… “something went wrong”… the js console says

Logger.js:154 2020-06-29T07:24:42.830Z [modules/UI/videolayout/SmallVideo.js] <v.remove>: Remove thumbnail 6481683b

Logger.js:154 2020-06-29T07:24:42.917Z [modules/rttmonitor/rttmonitor.js] <h.stop>: Stopping RttMonitor.

my setup is as follows:

  • Debian Buster (jtisi and rocketchat on dedicated servers)
  • Jitsi details:
    – meet: 2.0.4627-1
    – prosody 1.0.4127-1
    – meet-tokens 1.0.4127-1
    – meet-turnserver 1.0.4127-1
    – meet-web 1.0.4127-1
    – meet-web-config 1.0.4127-1
    – videobridge2 - 1.1-202-g5f9377b9-1

I followed the instructions on

also I added to my prosody config as last section:

Component “jitsi-videobdrige.jitsi.mydomain-com”
component_secret = “my-secret”

Does anyone has this setup rocket.chat and jitsi with tokens up and running?

What else can I perform on needed information?

Thanks for your help

Kind regards

found my problem… it seems the jvb password for prosody was not set right.
I used prosodyctl passwd jvb@auth.jitsi.my-domain.com and set it again
then restart prosody and it works
