i m having a problem which i find interesting and surprising and which i dont understand …
i have two meeting rooms/URLs, both have been used before.
one of them works fine, the other one constantly crashes with the “Something went wrong” on client side.
What could be possible reasons for this?
How is one meeting different from the other?
Am i looking at a client or a server side issue?
so, it turned out to be an overlap of issues - and my question was actually silly,
as i hadnt noticed the underlying problem.
the videobridge had become unavailable, visible in jicofo.log as
/var/log/jitsi/jicofo.log:Jicofo 2020-04-16 16:46:28.914 SEVERE: org.jitsi.jicofo.JitsiMeetConferenceImpl.log() Can not invite participant – no bridge available.
and at the same time, another user had left his session running in one of the meetings.
So, in that meeting, i got kicked out - the well-known problem of “there can only be one client”.
In another meeting, i was the only one, and did not notice the underlying issue.
I still need to find out what caused the primary problem -
going back to
one more comment, mainly to let @damencho know (and say thanks!):
i think many of us users, incl me, are confused about the stats/colibri setting.
i had found advice to use
but that obviously crashes the meetings.
seems to work -
videobridge is up, and stats are available.
