(SOLVED) E: jitsi-meet: dependency problems-leaving unconfigured

good day,

i’ve been getting the following when i go to do updates. i found a thread on github that suggested coming here for help with it. thanks

E: jitsi-meet-prosody: installed jitsi-meet-prosody package post-installation script returned error exit status 1

E: jitsi-meet: dependency problems-leaving unconfigured

Are you running Ubuntu?

Have you checked the https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/doc/quick-install.md

Also note that a recent default Ubuntu installation has only the main repository enabled, and Jitsi Meet needs packages from universe. Check your /etc/apt/sources.list file, and if universe is not present refer to Ubuntu’s documentation on how to enable it. (Usually it amounts to copying the main lines and changing to universe.)

USB 3.0 Card, AOC 29" Ultra Wide At 2560x1080.
SATA 500 & 500 Gig Hitachi drives, USB 3.0 1 TB WD & 2 TB Seagate Expansion

as for the like i’ll check it out. not to nitpick please in the future unless it’s commands i need to enter don’t use code boxes. thanks

I have no idea whether mint has the same problem as Ubuntu, missing universe, so no prosody package available by default.

o.k. i think i got rid of the one problem, but now have.

This is just a warning, not an error. Open the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jitsi-stable.list (as root or with sudo) and remove the duplicate line there.

YES YES YES spot on, thank you both very much.

just added the additional components for pulse audio and received this error “jitsi-meet-prosody”. the components seem to be installed and working properly, so i have no idea what that error is about. thanks

EDIT:

mint updates resolved this issue. mint 19 had a huge update and once it was done and i rebooted this was fixed.
