[sip-comm] Use Sip-Communicator make phone call in J2EE service layer.

#1

Hi all,
I am new to SIP/RTP, and my company wants to add SIP function on our Java server to call(play back wav file) to our customers' phone. Input parameters are (custonerPhoneNumber, messageFileName). It will be done at java service (background) layer.
Do you think I can use sip-communicator library for this assignment. We have Free Switch installed and using gafachi VOIP service. I just downloaded Jain-sip, and tried its examples.simplecallsetup connected to our Freeswitch using SIP UA and phone is ringing. Can you point me whether sip-communicator is suitable for this type of applications, and which java package is where I should start with. Any additional information are appreciated
Thanks,

Yes sure. You could use our ProtocolProvderService. However you might
also want to have a look at projects that have been meant to work as
servers, like mobicents for example:

http://mobicents.org
http://code.google.com/p/mobicents

Hope this helps
