[sip-comm] Sending DTMF in a Sip Call ?

#1

Hi all,

Got some trouble with dtmf decoding.

Tried SC as a Sip client on a asterisk, alaw codec, seems that all digits
aren't decoded properly.

Tried inband and rfc in my config files. No change.

Any idea?

Hello Edouard,

Hello,

at first you should define that type of DTMF you need.

audio inband, SIP INFO, rfc2833 ?

asterisk has support for all dtmf standart..

SIP INFO is an easy way, but not too much VoIP providers support it.

Two years ago I did some patches for RFC2833. Please check it and you can
add it to SipCommunicator.

Sorry, sorry for CODE style :-(((

RTPSocketAdapter.java (9.34 KB)

PcmDepacketizer.java (4.85 KB)

PcmPacketizer.java (6.88 KB)

MiRtpHeader.java (2.22 KB)

I am afraid that there is currently no explicit handling of dtmf tones
in SIP Communicator. The feature is previewed but there is no guarantee
as to when exactly it is going to find its way in SIP Communicator.

Any volunteers?
