[sip-comm] Running sip-communicator without loging in

#1

Hi!

I am trying to run the sip-communicator from the current source-code
(downloaded 2004-03-08). The first thing that happens is that I'm asked to
login to a realm, which I cancel. Then I try to make a call to another
client on another computer. This client never responds to the invitation
(root@ipv4 address or root@ipv6 address). I guess that I have 2 quesitons:

1) Is the current source code runnable?

2) Can the application be used without registering/loging in in on a
registry service?

Regards

1) Is the current source code runnable?

Yup. There are just some configuration issues which we're currently fixing

Absolutely. Try and remove the outboung proxy ... and anything that contains iptel.org in the sip-communicator.properties file

The sip-communicator.properties file is either in ur working directory or in $HOME/.sip-communicator

Hope this helps
