[sip-comm] RPM package problems fixed

#1

Hello Martin,

That's OK. In fact, it's my fault for not telling you that I'm using your scripts. Moreover, I am receiving the commit notifications and I am supposed to review them. Actually, I was aware of the problem as soon as it appeared, because I try to update the Sip Communicator RPM every day. So, to be honest, I didn't fix the problem earlier not because I didn't know about it, but because I didn't have time. :frowning: Sorry about that (*ashamed*).

On the other question, well, I would bet on your first suggestion, i.e. separating on the repository the files shared among
packages. This way we will have a single source of truth.

Thanks,
Pavel Tankov

Hi Pavel,

sorry for that, I didn't know that your RPM package was using scripts
from the Debian one before pushing my changes on svn. Maybe we should
think about separating on the repository the files shared
among

packages

like script, man pages, etc. and coordinating our modifications.
Another solution to avoid this situation to happen again would be to
duplicate all these resources in your package.

WDYT?
Martin

I

use the debian resources like launcher script, .menu and .desktop

files

and so on. So the result was that when M. Andre changed the

directory

layout a bit, I hadn't done so, but I was still using his

launcher

script and hence the problems. Now it's all fixed.
