[sip-comm] problem when run the code of sip-communicator

#1

Hi all,
This is the first time i write a message to this mailling list and maybe i
wrote not correctly so please forgive me.
First, I want to give many thanks to all in this mailling list and
espescialy to Emil Ivov - the author of sip-communicator. Your program is
excellent.
I've downloaded sip-communicator.zip and it ran well in WinXP.
I have tried successfully between Sip-commnunicator and Microsoft
Messenger both Sip-Commnunicator in LAN.

After that, I've downloaded all the source code of sip-commnunicator with
WinCVS.
But i have some problem when i tried to run its code in WinXP.
The problem that : i don't know where i could begin to compile and run the
code.

So when i use JCreator to make a project 'SIP' and i add all the file of
its code to this project , i try to compile and execute this project , it
run and appear a frame for authentication. But i dont know what username
and password are. So it can't continue to run. When i tried to type some
username and password that i guess ; ), but it still can't run.

I went to the page of the source code :
https://sip-communicator.dev.java.net/source/browse/sip-communicator/
and i saw that it has some files (sip-communicator.jpx,
sip-communicator.xml,gui-config.xml ) which is hide in the Attic. The code
that i download doesn't have these files.
Is the problem from here ???
Please help me.
Thanks to all of you.

Hello,

Sorry for the late reply,

In the top level sip-communicator directory you can find a build.xml
ant script. Building and running sip-communicator is most easily done
through this script. To execute it you will need

http://ant.apache.org

Hope this helps
Cheers
Emil
