[sip-comm] Eclipse support

#1

I've just had my first look at the source. Is anybody working on (or managed to):

1) run sip-communicator (at least the engine) using Equinox?
2) an RCP GUI?

I am personally not aware of such an effort and have never tried it but
I can't think of a reason why it shouldn't work. I don't think we are
using anything that is Felix specific so it would probably mostly be a
matter of reconfiguring the initial profile.

2) an RCP GUI?

Again, I am not aware of anyone working on this. I am totally unfamiliar
with the way RCP works so I can't really imagine the amount of work that
it would take. I guess it mostly depends on what you'd like to have.

In case there is a way to use Swing components with RCP and you want to
keep the SIP Communicator UI, then it would probably be a matter of
patching inconsistencies here and there.

Totally rewriting the GUI with an Eclipse look and feel is a different
story though and would represent a considerable effort.

Hope this helps
Emil
