[sip-comm] DTMP tones supported?

#1

Hi,

I'm now to sip-communicator and new to this list. Excellent application btw!

I was just testing it and tried to join a meeting that requires me to send DTMF codes, but apparently sip-communicator it's not sending them.
Does anyone know if this is supported or if this is a known issue?

Thanks,

Currently we support two type of DTMFs:- rfc4733(which is compatible
with rfc2833) and sending using SIP (SIP INFO messages). The first one
should be default, maybe if it doesn't work for you, you can try
disabling it by unchecking the option in Configuration form under
Audio, search for "telephone-event/8000". When you uncheck it you will
use the one with sip info messages.

Hi Damian,

Thank you very much for your reply. I did a bit more testing and DTMF does work with Cisco Unity Connection (our VM server solution) but does not work with Cisco MeetingPlace (or meeting center solution).

I'll look at the supported DTMF specifications our MeetinPlace can handle and I'll get back to you.

Is there a sip-communicator QA team I can get in contact with?

Thanks,
Daniel.

Discussions related to SC's development generally take place on our dev
list so that's one place you may want to contact with further
information on the issue.
