[sip-comm-dev] What's the difference between the "CALL INITIALIZATION" and "CALL IN PROGRESS" states ?

#1

Hi Team,
This shiva from TamilNadu. I hava a doubt in the states after sending INVITE request.
Can you please tell me what's the difference between the "CALL INITIALIZATION" and "CALL IN PROGRESS" states (Can u say with the responses like 100 TRYING & 180 RINGING) ?

Thanks & Regards

Hey Shiva,

A call is in the CALL_INITIALIZATION state from the moment we try to
establish it until we receive a non 100 response.

A call is considered in progress once the remote party responds and you
receive the 200 OK response.

Hope this clears it.

Cheers
Emil
