[sip-comm-dev] Want to know status of project

#1

Hi all,

I am a student of Department of Electronics, Banaras Hindu University,
India.
I am interested in participating gsoc '09 by contributing to the "SIP
Communicator" project. I have
gone through the 'gsoc 2008 project list" and interested in participating
"Support for RTP DTMF"
which was not implemented last time.

Is this idea vacant? If it is how should I proceed?

and also interested to know about Sharing whiteboards

Glad to hear this!

That's a very good candidate. We have some of the basics there but we
are far from being done. So yes I guess you could consider the idea vacant.

You could have a look here:

There's a basic impl by Nicolas Grandclaude in this thread that one
could use as a basis.

https://sip-communicator.dev.java.net/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgNo=5432

You could start by having a look at it and think about how you could
integrate it in SC.

That used to work although it didn't last time I tried. We were thinking
of removing it since no one is currently maintaining it.

Cheers
Emil
