[sip-comm-dev] Videocodecs on MacOSX

#1

Hello everybody,

I started testing SC on Mac OSX and tried some SIP connections with
other participants.
I had some issues at the negotiation of the video codecs, because the
session description only contains the H264 codec although the other
codecs (H263, H261 and JPEG) has been activated at the settings menu.

Does the SC under MacOSX only support H264 or do I have to configure
something else to establish for example a H263 connection?

rainer

Hi Rainer,
If you are using Asterisk, you might want to check the asterisk config files
to make sure that the other video codecs you need are in the allowed list.

Hi,

For the video codecs under MacOSX only h264 is supported for now. The other codecs used in jmf have native dependencies which are missing in jmf for MacOSX.
And this is a problem that the codecs you cannot use are seen in the media setting, please log an issue in the issue tracker.

Thanks

Hello,

the posted session description is the direct output of the SC. It has
nothing to do with asterisk or other servers.

Rainer
