[sip-comm-dev] video conversation with SC

#1

Dear All,
I have opened in addition to iptel an account at sip.antisip.com and tested
audio/video between Berlin and Vienna.
zRTP is working for audio, however Video (with and without zRTP) failed: the
sound "fades out" , video(s) are not display (only black box appears) and
then the connection interrupts, so highly similar scenario as with the iptel
accounts.
tested with Win-version 2375 on both ends
sip.antisip is supposed to work with video (indicated at
http://www.linphone.org/index.php/eng/getting_started/public_sip_servers),
but as I am not an expert user/programmer it could be a wrong assumption.

It should be noted that already added contact(s) in SC (from sip.antisip
provider) are not saved and have to be added manually at the next start
(however registration of the account is saved and connection works
instantly).

kind regards, MS

Hi guys,

As Emil Ivov noted, the plan for improving the quality and the
performance of the video in SC includes (and is, of course, not
limited to) the following issues:

https://sip-communicator.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=589
Aero-compiant DirectDraw renderer

https://sip-communicator.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=769
DirectShow video CaptureDevice

Regards,
Lubomir
