[sip-comm-dev] testing with the asterisk server, using 2 accounts, via a router

#1

I have 2 accounts on the test asterisk server, voipgw.u-strasbg.fr, and I'm trying to call one from the other.

Both of my machines are behind the same firewall/router (I have a DSL connection). I'm not able to even simultaneously call one of the test mp3 numbers like 669, from both of them. They are both set up with the same port numbers, etc.

Is this even possible, what I'm trying to do? If so, do I need any special settings to get it to work?

Ken

Yes, you can do it, but first you need to give more informations (are you
using a softphone?, your machines are behind a nat?). Can you give us your
sip.conf and extension.conf?

Hi Ken and Anthony,

no need of the configurations for the asterisk as I have configured that asterisk and also I had accounts to it with which I'm
making successful tests, maybe we can arrange some tests with you to see the dumps and figure it out. Also do
you have any dumps and what is going on there ?

Cheers

Damian - do you have a google talk or other IM account? Maybe we could chat sometime and try to track this down.

Thanks,

Ken
