[sip-comm-dev] Supposedly a bug: Yahoo account not listed in My Chat Rooms...

#1

Running SIP build 1.0-alpha6-nightly.build.2772 on Ubuntu Linux Lucid Lynx.

I am using Facebook + Gtalk + Yahoo with SIP.
When I choose
File ---> My Chat Rooms...

It just shows my facebook and gtalk id. The yahoo id is not listed.

Further...
When I click "Create Chat Rooms",In the list of accounts that support
multi chat feature, Yahoo account is still not listed! :expressionless:

This is the expected behavior. Yahoo (as well as MSN or ICQ) won't be listed because the rooms
you create with it are not persistent (you can't retrieve them after exiting), as opposed to protocols
that use XMPP/Jabber.

However Gtalk is a particular case for the chatrooms, if I remember they use another protocol for
their chatrooms.

Also, I have to admit that I don't know why Facebook is listed there
I will take a look at it...

Same as before. Usually, with the protocols like Yahoo (MSN, ICQ, ...), you can create a chat room
by extending a basic chat (one-to-one) to a multi user chat. This dialog is rather used for protocols that
support persistent rooms.

Hope it can helps!
Valentin
