[sip-comm-dev] Sip Communicator features

Hello,

We are interested in SIP clients that are able to establish videoconference, I have read the Sip Communicator web page and it seems to me that it will offer that. We would like to record audio/video conference in order to integrate the Sip Client with a TeleHealth system. It would be nice to help you improving Sip Communicator with new features. The idea is to have SIP Communicator and our SIP Client. I haven�t worked with SIP before, but I have some experience with OSGi.

We are not sure if Sip Communicator can be used to establish videoconference,. because our SIP Client is quite old and only works half duplex for audioconference. Does Sip Communicator support working half duplex?

I have downloaded sip communicator latest version from http://www.sip-communicator.org/download-1.0/nightly-builds/2005-11-30/sip-communicator-1.0-src.zip. It is not possible to configure parameters such as SIP Server or configure WebCam. I suppose that SIP Communicator is in early development, and because of that it doesnt appear that options.

I have seen in the webpage the roadmap, do you know when will be available the first release with videoconference against a proxy SIP?

Pre 1.0 versions did support this. In 1.0 it is still in development
but it will be supported.

That's it. They will all be available one day though.

Can't be certain of that but we're aiming at beginning of June.
