[sip-comm-dev] Sip Communicator client + sip2sip.info provider

#1

Hi there,
me and my colleagues have spent last two days trying to get this
combination work properly.
Unfortunately we didn't make it.
Clients can login and send/receive calls but the receiver's call panel
keep on showing "connecting" while the caller already went to the
"connected" state on his client.
Netherless audio seems to work and both clients can hear other's voice.
But it's not just a "visual" problem cause the receiver always being
on this (apparently) transient state can not activate any control on
the bottom side of call panel.
One of these controls is the "video toggle" button so that there is no
way no make video calls work with sip2sip provider and Sip Communcator
client.
I would like to know if this is a bug related to Sip Communicator, to
sip2sip provider or a combination of both.
And finally, is it going to be fixed?

Thank you
Errico Demly Chirulli

Hey Errico,

In order to be able to diagnose the problem, could you please send us
the log files and wireshark trace of a one such session?

Thanks,
Emil

Hi Errico,

any news or logs for this issue?
Lately I had a chance to test this and everything was working fine at my side.

Thanks

Hi there,
unfortunately I'm still stuck there.
You can find a wireshark report of one failed session attached, that's
been taken from the "called" PC.
I started monitoring when phone was ringing and stopped after hanging up.
Let me know if you can.
Thank you
Errico

Hi,

sorry for the delay. I think the problem comes from the situation that
the packets become too big and get fragmented by your network. Try
disabling some of the codecs and zrtp and try whether this will solve
the problem. Other solution is to use TCP or TLS, but I don't know
which one of those is supported by sip2sip.info.

Regards
damencho
