[sip-comm-dev] SIP com keeps disconnectiong after a few munutes after it starts

#1

Hi all

I have a trouble again. On one of mine computers, the Sip-communicator
always disconnects after 6-8 minutes from it's start. Then (after
disconnectiong), the "disconnected" popup window repeats very often (in
second interval), independently on I manually set it to "Online" (from
toolbar) or not.

I tried remove all of SIP-com from this computer (from ProgramFiles and from
user's home) and completly reinstall it (including register accounts) with
no effect.
I found this behaviour on XMPP/Jabber protocol (jabbim.cz, facebook, google
talk). I did not test other protocols. This behaviour exists long time
(several months) accross all updates within this time.

System: Win 7 32 bit, Java (currently) 1.6.0_21 (but it happended under
older jre's too - to first version I tested, 1.6.0_17).
Note that on other compuers, it does not happen.

Is this only my problem? Shoul I report it as bug?

Second (minor) problem is that it seems the account's "Online only" filter
does not filter correctly - sometime I set it on, no contact is displayed in
roster, even if many of them is online. On the other hand when I switch
Sip-com offline, many accounts stay in roster, event they should not.

Hi,

this behaviour is rather strange, seems a problem in network
detection. Can you send us the log file of such a session which has
disconnected you to help finding the problem.

Thanks

Hi

it is really strange begaviour - when I start sip-com directly from Eclipse
IDE (using ANT task "run"), it runs fine without disconnectiong.
I put the log here, perhaps it will be useful (logging level is set to
"FINEST" for all, due the standard log setting did not cause any log record
after configuration is loaded).

sip-communicator0.log (1.14 MB)

Hi,
and thanks for the logs.
I see in them that after starting at one time you have all your
network interfaces listed as connected:
connectedInterfaces: [net5, eth22, net4] and after that it start
disconnecting, here is a summary of that process with time:
      2010-09-16T14:40:24.533 connectedInterfaces: [net4]
      2010-09-16T14:40:24.534 connectedInterfaces: [net5, net4]
      2010-09-16T14:40:24.535 connectedInterfaces: [net5, eth22, net4]

      2010-09-16T14:43:31.090 connectedInterfaces: [net5, eth22]
      2010-09-16T14:44:13.149 connectedInterfaces: [eth22]
      2010-09-16T14:44:13.364 connectedInterfaces: []
      2010-09-16T14:44:22.542 connectedInterfaces: [net4]
      2010-09-16T14:44:22.543 connectedInterfaces: [net5, net4]
      2010-09-16T14:44:22.544 connectedInterfaces: [net5, eth22, net4]
      2010-09-16T14:44:25.549 connectedInterfaces: [net5, eth22]
      2010-09-16T14:44:25.551 connectedInterfaces: [eth22]
      2010-09-16T14:44:25.580 connectedInterfaces: []
      2010-09-16T14:44:31.823 connectedInterfaces: [net4]
      2010-09-16T14:44:31.823 connectedInterfaces: [net5, net4]

You can see how from time all interfaces go down and after that they
come up again and this is only the start of the log and this process
continues till the end of the log. Really strange.
Do you remember any particular thing you've been doing at that time
that can be the cause of this stuff.
If interfaces seem disconnected its normal that protocols are
reconnecting from time to time.
