[sip-comm-dev] SIP call hold

#1

You need send a INVITE message by U1 with this param "a= sendonly" in SDP message
Example

INVITE sip:bob....

v= 0
o= bob 412 413 IN IP4 192.168.100.11
s= Session
c= IN IP4 192.168.100.11
t= 0
m= audio 3456 RTP/AVP 0
a= rtpmap:0 PCMU/8000
a= sendonly

And the U2 must to send the same sdp message but with the param a=recvonly

In this way you put the call onHold, and if do you want put off-hold, so , send (U1)a INVITE message without param a=sendonly and U2 response without param a= recvonly

I did that, this worked in my application.

Hello Damian, how are you?

What is the best way to stop the RTP stream temporary? In a way that I
can resume it later (hold on / hold off).

I'm trying to find by myself but this is not so easy :slight_smile:

Cheers,
Marcos.

Hi Juan,

I believe that I was not clearly in the last message, sorry.

The SIP signaling process is ok. My doubt is about how to stop/resume
the sending RTP stream, to really stop to capture the microphone input
and the sending process.

Thank you anyway!

Regards,
Marcos.
