[sip-comm-dev] redirection of audio streams

#1

Hi,
I'm looking for the redirection of audio streams (RTP) in case if some SIP
point
is to be like a "voice proxy" for a some stuff which doesn't know anything
about SIP.

I'm not sure if this case can be compared with SIP conferencing and i've
looked
through sip-communicator code and noticed some classes which do
manipulations
with javax.media.rtp.RTPStream.

I'll appreciate if someone could say that it's possible to do with
sip-communicator.

If SIPCom doesnt fit, you can also check Mobicents Media Server -
http://groups.google.com/group/mobicents-public/web/mobicents-media-server-guide

We do a lot of RTP "proxying". The Media Server works by connecting
endpoints to sockets or to other endpoints. Your topology should look like
RTP1 <---> Packet Relay Endpoint <---> RTP2 or if need more participants you
can use a conference endpoint instead. It doesnt depend on SIP in anyway and
it's controlled by MSC-API or MGCP.
