Damencho, I came to it by accident and I suppose I'm doing something
wrong... but my chat rooms disappear after restart though they have
autojoin in the table. I follow the steps bellow:

1. I have a Jabber account so I open the "Go to chat room" dialog.
2. I select one of the suggested chat rooms from the "Chat Room" combo.
3. I click the OK button. As expected, the specified chat room opens
up in the chat dialog.
4. I later decide I want to autojoin this chat room so I open the "Go
to chat room" dialog again, the chat room is already in the table and
I click its checkbox in the Autojoin column.
5. I close the dialog by clicking its x button or the OK button or the
Cancel button. It doesn't matter because the checkbox remains checked
anyway.
6. When I'm finished chatting, I quit SIP Communicator.
7. After starting SIP Communicator again, my accounts get online but I
don't get joined in the chat room even though I checked Autojoin last
time.
8. I open the "Go to chat room" dialog and the table is empty.

As I've clicked the Autojoin checkbox, shouldn't the application
remember the chat room and autojoin me into it after restarting?
