This is the contents of the (latest) bat file
javaw -classpath sip-communicator.jar;%CLASSPATH%;%JMFHOME% -Dlog4j.configuration=sip-communicator.properties net.java.sip.communicator.SipCommunicator
It only accesses net.java.sip.communicator.SipCommunicator which is
in sip-communicator.jar. It all ran fine for me. Try re-downloading
the zip file if you don't have a recent version and if it doesn't
help then could I please see the error message?
Well, I don't have the .bat file here but it said something like
and when I did
jar tvf sip-cummunicator.jar
I did NOT see a "class" file for that object.
So it did not find main.
I download latest JMF-2.1.1e and JDK-1.4.2 (with netbeans) and I can run JMF
Studio as well as "java -version" commands.
I also have JMF (all jars) in my classpath.
Sip Communicator does work on XP. What makes you think it accesses
files that are not there? What is the error message that you get?
Note that to run sip-communicator you need JMF in your classpath or
the JMF variable set.
