[sip-comm-dev] Q: Initiating a call from an external program

#1

Hei,

I have implemented a SIPCOMMUnicator bean , that can be access by any java program
with the followhing interfaces

Methods:
startup(String configurationFile)
makeCall ( String destination)
answerCall ( int callid )
disconnectCall ( int callId )
transferCall ( int callId , Strinf destination)

Events:
onNotification ( SipComEvent )

I can make available if someone is interested

Dennis

Emil,

Sorry for not making myself clearer. gaim has no
support for SIP/VoIP but does allow for 'plugins' to
be developed.

I was wondering if its possible to trigger a call from
outside of sip-communicator? That is, once
sip-communicator is running, use an external program
to trigger a 'call' event, passing the necessary
parameters, sip address of destination caller etc.

Thanks in advance.
Adam

I don't really understand your question, Adam

If you are asking whether or not the sip -
communicator is compatible with other sip
applications
- it is. Personally, I have not tested it with gaim
but there should be no problems doing it.

If that was not what you were asking please explain
a bit more
Cheers
Emil
