[sip-comm-dev] Patch: JAIN-SIP logging

#1

Hi all,

JAIN-SIP now allows to redirect log messages:
https://jain-sip.dev.java.net/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgNo=170

The patch attached enables JAIN-SIP log messages to appear with those of
SIP Communicator. The log level of the SIP stack can now be set through
lib/logging.properties with:
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.protocol.sip.level=LEVEL

FINEST logs the server messages (ie server transactions).

Some methods in SipLogger were left barely implemented, namely:
getLineCount
isLoggingEnabled
disableLogging
enableLogging
setStackProperties
closeLogFile
setSipStack

If there is no objection, I'll commit it along with a new version of
JAIN-SIP RI (unless Emil updates it first for the improved TCP support).

Cheers,

jainsip_logger.patch (10.1 KB)

Hi Emil,

Feel free to update to the latest version of jain-sip. I won't be
committing support for the new TCP port allocation mechanism before
later this weekend and at that point I'll simply use the jain-sip
version from your commit.

commited

SIP Communicator. The log level of the SIP stack can now be set
through lib/logging.properties with:
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.protocol.sip.level=LEVEL

I meant:

net.java.sip.communicator.impl.protocol.sip.SipLogger.level

(but .sip.level also works)
