[sip-comm-dev] No Registrar Patch

#1

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if someone has tried the No registrar patch. I tried all night yesterday and couldn't get it to work. There were problems in the multiple classes, e.g. AbstractProtocolProviderServiceSipImpl, where some variables and methods weren't defined. I couldn't get the code to compile.

Thanks.

Elsa.

I must confess that I didn't test the patch myself with a clean copy of the source code before posting it. Nevertheless, I just tried and got it to compile. The problem probably is that the diff created by svn doesn't contain repository operations. Before applying it, you'll have to a "svn cp ProtocolProviderServiceSipImpl.java AbstractProtocolProviderServiceSipImpl.java" in the directory src/net/java/sip/communicator/impl/protocol/sip. The patch is also created from a recent trunk version (and cleanly applies to today's trunk), not the alpha2 branch. I also tested with Java 1.5, since the trunk now uses this java version.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
