#1

Hi Seb,

Can you check this issue (https://sip-communicator.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=580)
is it ok for you now?As I think it must be fixed with r5246.

Thanks

Hi Damian,

You were speaking of #580, right? The use case I mentioned in the issue
seems to be broken, so it's difficult to test.

Linux/build 1855 on one side (A), Linux/rev 5264 on the other (B):

1) create a registrarless SIP account with SIMPLE presence disabled on both
sides
2) try to add A as contact for B
3) error popup:

Failed to add contact with id: netbook@172.20.54.20. Network failure occured.

net.java.sip.communicator.service.contactlist.MetaContactListException: failed to create contactnetbook@172.20.54.20

  at net.java.sip.communicator.impl.contactlist.MetaContactListServiceImpl.createMetaContact(MetaContactListServiceImpl.java:665)
  at net.java.sip.communicator.impl.gui.main.contactlist.addcontact.AddContactWizard$CreateContact.run(AddContactWizard.java:131)

Hi again,

and sorry for the problem, it is my fault. Could you test again with r5266 on both sides (also SIMPLE must be enabled, otherwise you want be able to send messages).

Thanks

It works ! Thank you Damian. (I only had r5266 on the side initiating
the discussion though)

(also SIMPLE must be enabled, otherwise you want
be able to send messages).

IIRC the checkbox in the options panel used to disable only presence,
not all SIMPLE?
