[sip-comm-dev] IOException in readRegistry

#1

Hi all,

I erased the ~/.sip-communicator folder while SC was running by mistake and since then, when I try to launch it again, I've got the following output:

     [java] Welcome to Felix.
     [java] =================
     [java] IOException in readRegistry: java.io.EOFException
[java] 21:12:13.212 INFO: impl.protocol.zeroconf.ZeroconfActivator.start().74 Zeroconf protocol implementation [STARTED].

And nothing else, no plugin is launched. Does someone knows how to fix that?

I've already tried to rebuild, checkout from svn, remove any files related to SC but nothing worked so far.

Thanks,

Ben

Hi,

the IOException is normal and is coming from jmf. Your problem is not in this Exception.
On what OS you've got the problem ? There was a change recently in the config directory of SC if ~/.sip-communicator is missing on windows and macosx.

Hey Ben,

It's in Application Data or AppData (or whatever the name was there) and
it's called SIP Communicator.

Cheers
Emil

Hi Emil,

Thanks for the answer. If it may help someone, on Vista the exact directory
is "C:\Users\[login]\AppData\Roaming\SIP Communicator" (if you installed
windows on C:)
