[sip-comm-dev] installed program keeps looking for jar files in the system jre folder

#1

hi, this is a very simple and straight forward question i think. but i can not figure it out.
in the sip communicator lib folder i have added mySQL-java connector jar file and then added it to the classpath and it seems to work fine when i am compiling and running from the eclipse IDE.

now when i create the installer, it copies the jar file from the lib folder just as fine. but when the program runs it keeps looking for it in the system java folder(C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\ext) and unless i put the jar file in that C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\ext folder, the program does not run.

how can i instruct the installer to look for the jar file inside the lib folder?

regards,
khan

Hey Khan,

This is probably because when you use ant you automatically have all
jars in lib added to your classpath. This is not the case with most of
the installers (except for the DMG pack)

You should make sure that when it runs, the installed version contains
the mySQL jar in its classpath. Alternately you could create a bundle
out of it and register it in felix.client.run.properties.

Hope this helps
Emil
