[sip-comm-dev] How to disable protocols in sipCommunicator??

#1

Hi folks,

I'm working with an application that uses sipCommunicator to establish a video sip-call between two users. The issue is that, one of the users has registered in a machine, which has a very poor hardware. When I start sipComm it gets all the cpu resources and the machine can't be able to manage other services that is necessary to my application. My questions is, is there any way to disable the rest of protocolos that sipComm manage and get only SIP Protocol? I think that this solution gets free some resources of "poor" machine cpu.

Could you tell anything about that?

Thanks a lot

Pedro

Hello,

Debian packages are not building for the post-3087 snapshots.
Is this a known issue?

You can disable protocols by deleting the corresponding protocol and
wizard bundles (jars) and removing them from felix.client.run.properties

I wouldn't expect this to help with CPU use though as protocol
implementations are completely inactive unless you actually create
accounts that use them.

Hope this helps,
Emil

Thanks for the note! It should be OK now but please let us know if this
happens again.

Cheers,
