My name is Brett Geren and I'll be working on the display user agent plug-in. Right now I'm following the general guidelines for get "community bonding" period and simply getting used to the code and how things are done in the SIP Communicator development community :). Once the first session starts I'll start following the outline provided here: http://www.sip-communicator.org/index.php/GSOC2009/DispMUA.
The main reason for this e-mail is that I have a quick question regarding user accounts/test accounts in the SIP Communicator that I thought might be relevant for all new developers. I was perusing the developer documentation and I came across the testing properties section where I found the following:
"Note This slightly convoluted technique protects the global repository version of the file, which cannot be used directly by the unit tests. The ./.svn properties file has been configured to prevent developers accidentally committing their individual versions of this run-time file (and their associated userids and passwords!)."
If I'm understanding this correctly, it means I don't have to worry about accidentally submitting my userids or account passwords :P. Is this correct?
