[sip-comm-dev] GSoC Address book Connector

#1

I am a sophomore at the University of Minnesota, Crookston majoring in
Computer Software Engineering. I am interested in connecting SIP
Communicator with address books from multiple programs. I mainly run a linux
system, so Thunderbird and Evolution would probably be the first two I work
with and then outlook. I have spent a nice amount of time developing with
java the last two years but this will be my first open source project. I am
planning on treating this project as a full time job over the summer. I am
wondering which address book would be most wanted first, so I can start
playing with connecting to it.

Glad to know you are interested in SIP Communicator. Please note,
however, that we prefer having GSoC related questions in our gsoc
mailing lists: gsoc@sip-communicator.dev.java.net.

As for our address book preference: I think we'd simply go for those
that have the best applications. You can therefore concentrate on your
favourite for now.

Cheers,
Emil
