[sip-comm-dev] GSoC 2009 - OTR Messaging for SC

#1

Hello to all!

I'm George and I've been accepted for implementing the OTR messaging
feature in SipCommunicator. I prepared 3 applications but OTR messaging
interested me most so I feel very lucky for being accepted!

I have tried to get familiar with the SipCommunicator and to my mind I
find it very elegantly coded (bravo to the developement team..!) so I'll
try my best to build something clean, consistent and elegant too.

I'm Geekius_Caesar in freenode (on April 1st I had two choices, 1st to
pick my name for a Google Account or 2nd to pick a nick.. well my name
wasn't available, as expected.., and I guess I was too influenced by
this podcast:
www.anders.com/lectures/lars_brownworth/12_byzantine_rulers, so this
not-so-cool nickname will haunt me for a while!).

I have also setup a blog for the purpose of this project here:
http://otr4sipcomm.blogspot.com/.

Best regards,
George.

George,

thanks for setting up the blog and provide a skeleton of the
planned library. Looks quite promising  . I also like the
approach to implement otr4j as a independent library first and
then integrate it with SC. Do you use another lib and its code
as example (libotr?) ?

Regards,
Werner
