[sip-comm-dev] GSOC 2009: Auto re-connect after network failure

Hi!

I am interested in the project proposal of *Auto re-connect after network failure. *I know how exactly you expect the feature to work ? As I understood it should restore all voice/video transmissions in case of a short-time network failure, and report the network failure in case of long-time failure. (If this is not right, could you, please, give more detailed specification).

I placed a project proposal for my application of Auto Re-connect After Network Failure. Looking forward for your comments.

Best Regards,
Artjom

Hi Artjom.
Yes you are right, in case of a short-time network failure, session of the
related protocol shouldnT be removed and chat and telephony services should
be restarted. I didnT thought like your solution in case of a long-time
failure. İn that case, i thought like that: in a specified time space,
socket initialization requests of the protocol should be tried permanently.
Just user can cancel the re-connection and after user's cancellation,
network failure will be reported.
I understood and planned the project sketchy like that.
So, good luck to you at the project.
