[sip-comm-dev] failing builds because of multi user chat tests

#1

Hey Valentin,

I don't know if you've already noticed but the CC builds have been
failing somewhat sporadically lately because of the MSN multi user chat
tests. Do you know what the problem is? Let me know if you need help
looking in to the matter.

Cheers,
Emil

Hi Emil,

Yes, I've noticed that CC builds fail more frequently since I added MSN MUC tests.
However, I'm wondering if they are the primary cause of these fails:

- in the two last CC mails (today 10:33), file transfer fails because of an offline contact,
which explains that MUC-related tests fails

- and 10:44, it fails because there is no response from the user who is expected to
receive a file. So if it suddenly moved to state offline, MUC-related tests will fail.

But anyway, I'll have look and give feedback as soon as possible.

Regards,
Valentin

Hi Valentin,

as I see there at least 4 builds in February failed only due to
TestOperationSetAdHocMultiUser, there are some builds which failed for both
AdHocMultiUser and filetransfers for MSN or some only for the filetransfers.
It seems to me that the problem is the same for both of them, but strange is
how sometimes only one of them fails. I have seen that sometimes the
filetransfer fails due to the fact that the other contact is offline. If you
are looking at this and need help we can look at it together and you can
contact me

Hi again,

one more thought: recently I updated java-jml and there were new things like
status messages and pending contacts. So the part about authorizations is
still not implemented on our side. We can implement it and see can be the
problem coming from there. Cause for example before the filetransfer tests
contacts are recreated (deleted if already there and added after that) and
when one of the contact stays offline is the time when tests fail. So we can
print somehow is this contact which is offline stayed in pending contacts or
something like this. I will also make sure tracing of the jml lib is turned
on on the testing machine, so if this appear we can see the logs to find any
problem.
