[sip-comm-dev] examine data packets received by SC

#1

Hi all,
I applied for "tell me what you chat with ill tell you who you are" project
and I managed to get and see the protocol stacks received by SC in xmpp, msn
and yahoo protocols. i could get the xmpp stack in xml ( i used toXMl()
method in org.jivesoftwear.smak.packet class) so i could see the entire data
packet. but for msn and yahoo, i couldnt see the entire data packet
recieved(the appropriate classes didnt give such method). only some
information was there. and for msn the message showd the relavent user agent
but for yahoo it didnt. Im sure there are other information in the data
packets. Is there a way to see the entire data packets recieved for msn and
yahoo?
thanks in advance

Hi,

for yahoo and msn you can use wireshark to examine the stacks flow.
Only for msn you won't be able to see contact list management as its going through https, but you don't need it anyway

Cheers
