[sip-comm-dev] DirectSound no supported with SRC

#1

Hi,

I have a problem when running sip-communicator from the src files under Windows XP:
When I try to detect Capture devices :
    DirectSound Capture Supported = false
    JavaSound Capture Supported = true
    JavaSoundAuto: Committed ok

But when I build the Windows binaries from these same src files, it's working perfectly! I absolutely need to work with src files so it takes too long to build the binaries files each time.

How can I fix this minor problem?

David

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "running from src". Is it that you are using an IDE and you want that IDE to build and run the sip-communicator instead of manually doing it with ant?

If that is the caes, then make sure that the jmf installation is in your project classpath or make your IDE use the build.xml

Cheers
Emil

Yes I'm using an IDE (IntelliJ 4.5.2), I've added the path to \jmf-win\ and \native\ and it uses the build.xml file.
The problem still remains.

Make sure you have all the jars in jmf-win in the classpath (not only the jmf-win directory). You don't need the native directory as it conents linux binaries.

From what you describe your problem seems to be that the contents of the jmf-win\jmf-native.jar is not found by the virtual machine

Try unzipping jmf-native.jar and putting its contents to a folder that is in the system %PATH%.
