Hi all,
I've got the problem above when trying to open my video camera.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, I read some other similar problem in this mailing list, so maybe it is: if not please let me know

the complete error is:

yes, the civil:/ source is the only one sip-communicator can see

by the way, today I upgraded to 1.0-alpha6-nightly.build.3117, same behaviour

yes, the civil:/ source is the only one sip-communicator can see

It seems your camera's format is a bit unknow for me (BA81, S920), I will see if there is an equivalent in libswscale convertion format.
I see also that your webcam support JPEG and we support it also. If you want to use your webcam with JPEG format with SIP Communicator you have to set the JPEG format as default for your webcam.

Try run:
$ luvciew -f jpg

Verify in v4l-info that the part starting "VIDIOC_G_FMT(VIDEO_CAPTURE) " you have the JPEG format, then you can run SIP Communicator and see if your webcam works.
