[sip-comm-dev] Chat focus?

#1

I start to use SC as my main IM Client. It work fine for these purpose. I
like to mention about chat windows always grab focus when some one send me a
message. This get pretty annoying, especially while I'm typing on other
windows (ie. like coding on eclipse :).

Is this a normal SC chat behaviour?

Thanks guys,

Hi Johny,

it's very nice to hear that you're using SC as your main IM client:)

"Bring to front" is now the default behavior, but you can easily change it by unchecking "Settings/Bring window to front" in the chat window. Actually I was thinking lately of making "Bring to front" the optional behavior.

Alex was also proposing to have some tips in the chat window, when it's opened for the first time, which could guide the user on how to change the default behavior. I found this also a good idea and we'll try to implement it soon.

Thanks, Yana,

First timer tips would be great, but I would think the default should still
not to focus every time message coming in. Since users might misses the tips
and don't realize this options.

Agree. That's what I was thinking also.
