[sip-comm-dev] Announcing BlueJimp (and a disclaimer)

#1

Hey all,

We have recently created the BlueJimp ( http://bluejimp.com ) company
with the purpose of providing professional support, maintenance,
customizations, and extensions development related to SIP Communicator.
We are hoping to attract as customers VoIP service providers or
equipment vendors that would like to ship a pre-configured/customized
communications client or anyone else interested in making specific
aspects of the project move forward.

At this point we have Yana, Damian (a.k.a damencho), Lubomir, and myself
on board. Sebastien Vincent will be joining us from December.

I thought I'd announce this here for a couple of reasons. First,
obviously, because I am thinking that some of the list subscribers, who
are using the project in a professional environment might be interested
in our services.

Other than that, it is probably worth making it clear that BlueJimp does
not hold any kind of exclusivity on maintenance and development
activities related to the project. SIP Communicator is, above all, a
FOSS project. It is the result of the work of many people that have
contributed during the last years (http://tinyurl.com/sc-devs). People
are free to hack on it anyway they want or hire whoever they like to do
it for them.

Well, that's it ... wish us luck!

Cheers,
Emil

Hi Emil,

Congratulations to you and the BlueJimp team (nice webpage btw). I'm sure that SIP Communicator will also benefit from the experience and the work you'll achieve through BlueJimp. Good luck in this new adventure!

Cheers,
