[sip-comm-dev] Alternative browser for the hyper links?

#1

Hello Devs,

Is there a possibility to configure the sip-communicator to open a different browser window (or tab) for the web links in the conversation windows?

Thanks,

Hi Pavel,

unfortunately this isn't configurable yet :frowning:

The thing we do now is the following:
  - under Windows and Mac OS X we open the system default browser
  - under Linux we have a list of browsers and we go through the list and open the first one that exists.

What we could do is to allow specifying a "defaultBrowser" in the configuration file, which will be used by default under linux. We'll use the list of browsers only in case the specified default browser doesn't work for some reason.

Emil WDYT?

Regards,
Yana
