[sip-comm-dev] alpha2 bonjour error

#1

Hi,

When testing "Bonjour" of the SC-alpha2 debian package with Romain, I saw this beautiful error log :
13:07:56.430 SEVERE: impl.protocol.zeroconf.BonjourService.run().164 ZEROCONF: Connexion from unknown contact [/130.79.91.222]. REJECTING!
13:10:53.893 SEVERE: impl.protocol.zeroconf.BonjourService.run().164 ZEROCONF: Connexion from unknown contact [/130.79.91.222]. REJECTING!
13:13:50.592 SEVERE: impl.protocol.zeroconf.BonjourService.run().164 ZEROCONF: Connexion from unknown contact [/130.79.91.222]. REJECTING!
13:14:05.172 SEVERE: impl.protocol.zeroconf.BonjourService.run().164 ZEROCONF: Connexion from unknown contact [/130.79.91.222]. REJECTING!

Details of the situation :
- Romain can see me and send me messages.
- I can't see him and can't receive and send him messages.

Hi Vincent,

I guess that this is the same bug as the one that Guillaume reported a few
months ago. If it is, I thought that I had posted the patch for it, but it seems
that it was just taking dust on my desktop. The problem should be the following:
there's a race condition between the definition port.p2pj service field and
changeStatus().

In BonjourService:BonjourService(), I think that putting the
changeStatus(opSetPersPresence.getPresenceStatus());
AFTER
props.put("port.p2pj", Integer.toString(port));
should solve this problem.

I'm abroad at the moment and can't test this, but if anybody is willing to do
it, please inform me if this is the problem or not, and if this modification
triggers any other issues.

Thanks.

Cheers,
Chris.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the tip, but it didn't work.
The presence is no more detected (neither for Romain, nor for me) and of course, we can't exchange messages.
No particular exception is throw.

You did post a patch and it has indeed been gathering dust, only not on
your desktop but in my inbox. Since you are now a Developer, feel free
to commit it whenever you find the time.

Concerning the target release, I think it's a bit too late for alpha2
(rolling out in less than an hour) so let's push this to alpha3.
